Babel Deluxe is an enjoyable word game for all ages. The objective of the game is to build the highest tower possible. You earn building materials by playing various word games, so you can build your tower a little higher after each game. The games are divided into categories, namely: action, find, create, memory and solve. According to the game results, you earn bigger blocks and this also influence the stability of your tower. Thus, if your results are poor, the tower will be less stable. Beware that if your tower becomes too unstable, it will crumble and the game will be over. The stability of your tower is represented by stars (from 1 to 5). At the beginning of each round, you will be asked to play a random game. The game difficulty will increase as your tower grows higher. Initially, you will only be able to play five games, but as your progress, more games will be unlocked. The actual height of your tower can be checked by looking at the vignette displayed on the left side of the screen. There are also keys that you can take if you break chains. You earn a new game for each key you grab, so you should try to collect them all.
Unfortunately, the game only includes one mode and there´s no story behind the game. Graphics are nice, but nothing impressive. Sounds are fine and the music is attractive, but a bit repetitive, getting annoying after a couple of minutes.
In short, Babel is an enjoyable word game that provides lots of interesting and different games that will surely keep you busy for the time it lasts, but don´t expect anything impressive.
